JESUS CHRIST, THE LAMB OF GOD
Joh 1:29 The next day he saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!”
When Abel offered a sacrifice, his sin was temporarily taken away. When Moses instructed each family in Egypt to offer sacrifice and put blood on the doorpost, the sin of a family was temporarily taken away. When Aaron offered a sacrifice and entered the holy of holies on the day of atonement, the sin of the nation of Israel was temporarily taken away. But when Jesus offered himself as a sacrifice on the cross of calvary, the Sin of the entire world was permanently taken away.
The lamb of Abel takes away the sin of one person; the lamb of Moses takes away the sin of one family; the lamb of Aaron takes away the sin of one nation; BUT the Lamb of God, Jesus Christ, takes away the Sin of the WHOLE world.
Sin is no longer a problem. Sin is no longer an issue.
You don’t need to appease God. You don’t need to appease the devil. You don’t need to appease your ancestors.
You don’t need to pour out blood. You don’t need to slaughter a goat. You don’t need to slaughter a chicken.
Behold, the Lamb of God, has taken away the Sin of the world.
“Worthy is the Lamb who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and might and honor and glory and blessing!” (Rev 5:12).
You have conquered by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of your testimony (Rev 12:11).
