Joh 5:7 The sick man answered him, “Sir, I have no one to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up, and while I am going another steps down before me.”
Joh 5:8 Jesus said to him, “Get up, take up your bed, and walk.”
Joh 5:9 And at once the man was healed, and he took up his bed and walked.
Many sick people lied next to the pool of Bethesda hoping to be healed when the water was stirred up by an angel. The Bible does not teach that the stirring up of water and the healing happened. The story of an angel stirring up water was a superstitious belief.
There was a man who was paralyzed for thirty-eight years. After being pinned to a bed for 38 years, this man’s situation was difficult and hopeless. He had the desire to be healed but he had no one to help or heal him.
Jesus said to Him, “Get up, take up your bed, and walk”. The bed has been carrying the man for 38 years; but now the man must carry the bed! This was a great challenge for a paralyzed man.
The words of Jesus are powerful, when He speaks things happen – His word will not return void, it shall always accomplish its purpose.
Immediately, the man was healed, and he took up his bed and walked.
It doesn’t matter how difficult and hopeless your situation is. Reject all superstitions and look up to Jesus. All you need is Jesus. Jesus. Jesus. One word from Jesus will change your entire life.
You have been believing many superstitions. Repent, and come back to Jesus.
