The book of Genesis has 50 chapters and is divided into 3 parts. Part 1 – God Elohim created [Chapter 1 – 2]. Part 2 – the serpent destroyed [Chapter 3 – 11]. Part 3 – the Lord YHWH restored [Chapter 12 – 50]. Genesis speaks about creation, destruction, and RESTORATION! Elohim creates; the serpent destroys; but YHWH restores. YHWH restores that which was destroyed by the serpent.
God’s ability to restore is beyond our understanding. Our tears can be seeds that will grow into abundance of joy, because God is able to bring good out of tragedy. God said “I will restore to you the years that the locusts have eaten” – Joel 2:25. We must be patient as we wait in God – our LORD is God of restoration.
Psa 80:19 Restore us, O LORD God of hosts! Let your face shine, that we may be saved!
