Troubles, poverty and being slandered are not good experience but are very painful. If it was possible everybody would avoid them. In fact lot of work that people do every day are towards avoiding poverty by accumulating riches, they strategize and plan ahead in order to avoid future troubles, they do their best to make friendship and to be at peace with everyone. Even after doing all of this, sometimes troubles still comes like flood, poverty and unemployment still engulf us, and people who talk bad and plan evil about us do not stop.
When people experience a series of bad things, they begin to ask the whereabouts of God. Where is God when I experience this? Why does God allow this to happen in my life? If He is there, why is he not intervening? Such questions may lead to some people doubting the very existence of God. Unfortunately that is not how God works. God decide on how to deal with each situation you are going through. In some cases God can intervene by giving you the desires of your heart. But in some cases God can allow you to go through a situation to the point of death, but he will be with you. The Lord assures you to be with you even when you go through fires, persecutions, tribulation. Challenges and suffering in life are not the measure of the absence of God, instead the more life becomes difficult, is the more the Lord comes close to you. Hold-on beloved child of God, to the point of death.
Rev 2:9-10 Says “‘I know your tribulation and your poverty (but you are rich) and the slander of those who say that they are Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan. (10) Do not fear what you are about to suffer. Behold, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested, and for ten days you will have tribulation. Be faithful unto death, and I will give you the crown of life.”
Hold-on to the point of death. From Simtandile Dlepuma. Stay blessed.
