Stay in your lane

Peace be with you
Hebrews 12:1-2 …. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, 2 fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. ….
As a child of God, you are in the race, like an athlete you will win the race after intensive and hard training. An athlete trains the physical body, emotional, social and psychological, and other dimensions of life. Failure to train one part will not give the desired results. This calls for endurance.
The word perseverance tells you that there are hardships, trials, and troubles. Trials come from your own desires; they drag you off the lane and trap you. Since these come from your own desire it is obvious that you cannot avoid them. In fact, it is good to have trials and troubles in your lives in order to

1) keep closer to God,

2) grow your faith in God and

3) learn humility.

What you need to do in order to stay in your lane is be aware of your desires. Sometimes you desire good, like higher positions in leadership, lots of money, etc. But Psalms 37:4 says first and foremost you must do the will of God then He will give you your heart’s desires. Hebrews 12v2 says you must fix your eyes on Jesus…. In order to stay in your lane, you need God’s wisdom, when you ask for it He gives abundantly, you will then remain in the right position with God.

God bless you
