*Put your life under God’s authority*

People who put more trust in their own abilities and skills to do things are difficult to advise. Some of them become arrogant, proud, and despise others. There is also a tendency of people with many years of successful experience to undermine those who are younger than them. Putting your trust in your own abilities and skills is dangerous, as you might not be able to easily detect your own mistakes. Your experience and skills do not make you a perfect human being, you might still make mistakes and things might still go wrong.

Don’t allow your experience and success to create pride and arrogance in you. The bible state that God opposes the proud and gives grace to the humble (James 4:6). You, therefore, need to put your life under God’s authority and resist the devil. It is your responsibility to submit your life under God’s authority and resist the devil, then the devil will run away from you. When you come close to God, you will experience more of God’s intervention in your life. As you come close to God, you need to purify yourselves, repent from your sins and ask for God’s forgiveness.

See what the scripture says in

James 4:6-8 ESV (6)  “But he gives more grace. Therefore it says, “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.” (7)  Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. (8)  Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.”
