A farmer does not count the harvest before plowing. He may know the size of the land that he is going to plow, he may also decide on the amount of material to use, but that does not tell him the amount of harvest that he is going to get. A person may plan to do things, but it is the Lord that helps to get the good results he wishes to have(Proverbs 19:21).
So you should not be proud and celebrate the good plans you have since something can still go wrong, instead you should put your trust in the Lord who can prosper you in your plans (Proverbs 3:5). When you make some plans, it is your responsibility to implement them. The Lord will bless you with some ideas in your mind, but it is your responsibility to skillfully draw some plans, organize resources and implement them. It is a sin of omission when you do not do what you are supposed to do. You need to faithfully do everything you know how to do as the Lord guides you.
See what the scripture says in
James 4:13-17 ESV (13) “Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go into such and such a town and spend a year there and trade and make a profit”— (14) yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes. (15) Instead you ought to say, “If the Lord wills, we will live and do this or that.” (16) As it is, you boast in your arrogance. All such boasting is evil. (17) So whoever knows the right thing to do and fails to do it, for him it is sin.”
*Trust the Lord with your plans*.
