*Depend on the Lord for everything you do*

Why do you do what you do? There are many motives that lead people to do what they do. Some people may do the work because they have been instructed to do it, others may do the work that they copied from other people. When Paul was preaching the Gospel, he was following an instruction that was given to him by the Lord Jesus Christ. Some false teachers despised Paul and started competing with him by teaching messages that were contrary to what he taught.

The motive and the source of the message will determine what gets preached. People with the wrong motive and with no connection with the Lord will do things differently from those that have an intimate relationship with the Lord. This applies to the work of preaching as well as other business activities. Your relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ and your motives for your actions will determine how you do it. Surrender your work, business, and everything you do to the hands of the Lord, and do not lean on your own understanding (Proverbs 3:5).

See what the scripture says in

Gal 1:11-16 ESV (11)  For I would have you know, brothers, that the gospel that was preached by me is not man’s gospel. (12)  For I did not receive it from any man, nor was I taught it, but I received it through a revelation of Jesus Christ. (13)  For you have heard of my former life in Judaism, how I persecuted the church of God violently and tried to destroy it. (14)  And I was advancing in Judaism beyond many of my own age among my people, so extremely zealous was I for the traditions of my fathers. (15)  But when he who had set me apart before I was born, and who called me by his grace, (16)  was pleased to reveal his Son to me, in order that I might preach him among the Gentiles, I did not immediately consult with anyone;
