Walk before the LORD and be blameless
The words which says the “LORD appeared” occurs in the bible 1308 times. In all the cases, the appearance of the Lord is special such that it confirms the LORD’s approval, availability, warning or advice, it is a special visitation of a person by the LORD for a special reason. The appearance of the LORD is normally preceded by the commitment of the believer to trust, obey, and fear of the LORD.
Abram was told to leave his country, his relatives, and was promised a child when he was 75 years old. 24 years later when Abram was 99 years old, the child that was promised was not there yet, but Abram continued to trust and believed in the LORD.
24 years expecting something that you dearly want is quite a long time, yet Abram, did not give-up hence the LORD appeared to him again. The message he received this time was that he should walk before the LORD and be blameless. Even after so many years of waiting, hoping and believing, don’t give up on the LORD. Walk before the LORD and be blameless for your reward is much closer than you can expect.
Gen 17:1-2 Says “When Abram was ninety-nine years old the LORD appeared to Abram and said to him, “I am God Almighty; walk before me, and be blameless, (2) that I may make my covenant between me and you, and may multiply you greatly.””
