Be faithful and fulfil your part

Do you have an active relationship with God? Is that relationship healthy?

God made a covenant relationship with Abram and change his name to Abraham in order to seal this covenant. In simple terms, a covenant is a conditional agreement between God and man where by God promises to do certain things on condition that a man continues to be faithful in fulfilling his part. The covenant with Abraham was that he should walk and be blameless before God, and God was going to multiply him greatly and also make him into many great nations. In order for the covenant to remain valid, Abraham had to carry all the instruction given by God, that is, he was expected to walk and be blameless before God.

God continues to make special agreements with his people. The Lord can also make a special agreement with you in the form of a covenant. His promises to your life will remain valid to you and to your children as long as you continue to carry his instructions. Even when it seems that the Lord is taking too long to fulfil his promises, you need to continue to be faithful in fulfilling your part. The covenant between you and the Lord will be transferred to your children when you remain faithful in fulfilling your part. Be faithful and fulfil your part.

Gen 17:4-6 Says “Behold, my covenant is with you, and you shall be the father of a multitude of nations. (5) No longer shall your name be called Abram, but your name shall be Abraham, for I have made you the father of a multitude of nations. (6) I will make you exceedingly fruitful, and I will make you into nations, and kings shall come from you.”
