Joh 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
Joh 1:3 All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made.
Joh 1:14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us.
The expression ‘in the beginning’ does not refer to a particular moment of time but assumes a timeless eternity. To the Hebrew ‘the Word of God’ refers to Divine Personality and to the Greek it refers to the rational mind that rules the universe. The Word is the source of all that is visible. The Word created the entire material world. The Word is the creator and the ruler of the universe.
Now this very Word became human and walked on earth which He created in the first place. When the Word became human, He did not cease from being Divine. The Word became what He was not [human] while remaining what He was [Divine]. This Word, Jesus Christ, is completely Divine and completely human.
I pray that you will understand and know God’s mystery, which is Christ Jesus – All treasures of wisdom and knowledge are hidden in Christ Jesus (Col. 2:2-3). Let us focus on Jesus Christ – the Author and the Finisher of our Faith. May the Grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with you.
JESUS CHRIST, COMPLETELY DIVINE AND YET COMPLETELY HUMAN. From Paulos Moloi. Stay blessed.
