Let your words and action align

The inspirations that we have been sharing recently has been dealing with the power of tongue as far as a person has a control. The first article in this regard was inspired by the scriptures in Proverbs 18: 21 which says “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits. “ My focus was on the use of tongue in managing the environment and dealing with people around you. We acknowledge that, there are other meaning and application of the use of tongue to create life and death. The spiritual meaning on the use of tongue to create life and death talks to what God does when you speak and proclaim certain things in your life. While this view holds true for the scriptures, we have chosen an approach that looks at what you can do as a person to make sure that what comes out of your mouth will create goodness and favours which will move you to the future that you desire.

The aim was to encourage you to use your tongue wisely in the day to day conversation. Our belief is that, your words has a power not only to change your destiny, but it start by changing your attitude and behaviour. Good attitude and good behaviour will attract good people to your life and you will receive their favour. The journey of life is long hence it need both God‘s favour and people’s favour. (See Proverbs 3:4; Luke 2:52). This is in line with the scriptures in Acts 10:34-35 which says God has no favouritism, but he shows favour to every person who does what is right. The point we are making here is that you have the power to influence the happenings around you and how people will treat you. Your words, your smile, your positive attitude and behaviour will play a big role on influencing how people deal with you. If you feel you lack the skills to communicate better, you can pray, learn, and practise the skills of speaking well. You need to make a commitment to change and improve the way you talk to people every day. May the Lord help you as you embark on this journey of changing yourself and the people around you through the power of your tongue? If you feel that you have mess-up already, and you don’t know how to speak well, no problem, it’s not too late to change. You can begin a new journey starting from today. You will not get it right the same time, you might fail many times, but each time you need to arise and try again. You will finally be able improve in managing the words that comes out of your mouth each day.
Jas 1:5 Says “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.”
