THE DEFINITION OF GOD

Joh 4:24 God is SPIRIT, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.
1Jn 1:5 …God is LIGHT, and in him is no darkness at all.
1Jn 4:8 …God is LOVE.
1Jn 4:16 …God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.

There are only three nouns, used by John, to define God in the Bible. God is Spirit. God is Light. God is Love. The number three represents a perfect complete union. Spirit, Light, and Love make up a complete union that defines God perfectly. John, an apostle of Jesus Christ, defines God for us: God is Spirit, God is Light, and God is Love!

God is Spirit. Yes, the Spirit is God! God the Spirit cannot be confined to one location. We must worship God everywhere in spirit and truth.
God is Light. God the Son, Jesus Christ, is the Light of the world. Whoever follows Jesus will not walk in darkness but will have the Light of life (Joh. 8:12).
God is Love. God the Father has given us Love, that we should be called children of God (1 Jn. 3:1).

The Father loves the Son, the Son lights the world, and the Spirit glorifies the Son. This is a perfect complete union in ONE true God. The seraphim worship the ONE true God, saying: “Holy, Holy, Holy is the LORD of hosts; the whole earth is full of his glory” (Isa 6:3). Why do the seraphim say ‘Holy’ only three times? Because ‘the Father is Holy’, ‘the Son is Holy’, and ‘the Spirit is Holy’.
The ONE true God is the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
