When Gideon and Israelites were hiding from the persecutions of the Midianites, God called Gideon to go out and save the nation. Gideon was reluctant to accept this call because he regarded himself as weak with no strength to fight, but God told him to go and fight with the little strength that he had. God did not promise to give him additional power, but wanted him to go with what he already have.
Sometimes we might look down and despise what we already have, but remember the little power you have is from the Lord. God wants to use you with the little might that you have to defeat the nations. You might be having many challenges at the moment, these challenges might include inability to preach the Gospel, challenges of poverty and unemployment of the people around you, challenges of sickness and death, and challenges relating to the impact of the pandemic to the people you are working with. Irrespective of these situations, God knows your little strength, He has identified you because of your faithfulness to him and to his word, to be the one to bring a solutions to the people around you. He is the one who opens doors that no one can shut, and close doors that no one can open. The doors are now open for you, go in your little strength and serve the people of God.
Rev 3:7-8 Says “And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write: ‘The words of the holy one, the true one, who has the key of David, who opens and no one will shut, who shuts and no one opens. (8) “‘I know your works. Behold, I have set before you an open door, which no one is able to shut. I know that you have but little power, and yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name.”
Go in your little strength. From Simtandile Dlepuma. Stay blessed.
