Peace be with you
Proverbs 15:29 The Lord is far from the wicked, but he hears the prayer of the righteous.
There is no relationship between darkness and light. This is why it is easy to understand the above Scripture. However Jesus instructed his disciples to preach the good news to the ends of the world. The disciples took this mandate and spread the gospel hence we came to know Jesus and are now saved. We also have the same mandate. It is therefore very important for us to share the word of God with people who are unsaved.
The devil has a very strong grip on unbelievers. Remember the story of Pharoah, he refused to let the Israelites go to the promised land. After death of their first born sons his army followed the Israelites into the Red sea where they drowned. Salvation of an unbeliever with a heart like Pharoah will not be easy. It is therefore important for you to use all the weapons you have to pull them out of the pit. One of those weapons is prayer. You can take an advantage of the above Scripture knowing that God hears your prayer.
For a successful prayer of the unsaved you need 1) a compassionate heart and to see them with God’s eyes (Mark 6:34). It is also important to 2) build your faith in order not to be discouraged (Isaiah 59:1). A friend of mine prayed for her husband to stop drinking alcohol but his addiction got worse. But she believed that God heard her prayer.
Identify someone you know who does not know God and pray for his salvation. God bless you as you take on this task of praying for someone to be saved.
