Peace be with you
Mark 10 24 The disciples were amazed at his words. But Jesus said again, “Children, how hard it is[e] to enter the kingdom of God! 25 It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God.”
A rich man ran to Jesus and asked what he must do to inherit the eternal life. Jesus told him that apart from keeping the commandments he needs to sell all his belongings and share with the poor. He went away sad and sorrowful because he had great wealth. It would appear that he was not convinced by what Jesus said that he will have great treasure in heaven (v.21).
This is the story of a rich man however not only rich people must give all to God in order to enter in His kingdom. In fact it is not only about the wealth but your heart.
There are too many things you treasure to a point where it is not clear where you stand with Christ. Some Christians live such a double standard life, it is no surprise to hear them say “I am not going to do that, I am not Jesus” justifying not to do the will of God. It is true that the journey to eternal life is not easy but your attitude says a lot. God knows your weaknesses and He loves you no less. When you surrender to God He will provide all your needs more abundantly. His plan for you is that you prosper.
The Bible says in Mark 10:27….with God it is possible. You do not need to do this on your own but with God it is possible to surrender all and take up the cross of Jesus. Remember you have treasures in heaven.
God bless you
