*Best Timing is God’s Timing*

Peace be with you

John 2:4 Woman why do you involve me?” Jesus replied. “My hour has not yet come.

Jesus’ first miracle took place at the wedding in Cana. He turned water into wine. When the wine was finished, His mother approached Him for help in the situation. However, the statement in verse 5 tells us that she too did not know what He would do.

Throughout His ministry, Jesus faced a lot of pressure. He was not welcome in his hometown; He had opposition from the Scribes and Pharisees, who wanted to kill him. A number of people were desperate to meet Him for healing. He was followed not only by His disciples but crowds.

Though He experience so much pressure Jesus did everything at the right time. He did not allow pressure from His mother hence He told her not to interfere. When His close friend Lazarus was sick and eventually died, Jesus refused to allow the pressure of their friendship to push Him to do anything at the wrong time. He always acknowledged the timing for the one who sent Him. If Jesus rushed to Lazarus He would have healed him from sickness and not raise him from death after 4 days in the grave.

Did you do anything pushed by pressure? The results were probably positive but if it was not God’s timing I’m sure problems later arose. Do you always consult with God before acting on anything? When looking back in your life you will realize that a number of things went wrong because of allowing pressure and acting prematurely. Step back and learn to hear God’s command and act at His timing because God’s timing is always best.

God bless you
