Today’s Inspiration JESUS – CHOSEN, BLESSED, BROKEN, AND GIVEN TO THE WORLD BY GOD
Luke 24:30 When He was at the table with them, He took the bread and blessed and broke it and gave it to them.
Jesus lived with his mother, brothers, and sisters in Nazareth; and he was a carpenter (Mark 6:3). He increased in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men (Luke 2:52). But JESUS WAS CHOSEN BY GOD.
Immediately after God had affirmed that Jesus was His beloved Son (Luke 3:22), God the Holy Spirit took Jesus and separated him from the community. For 40 days, Jesus was alone in the wilderness (Luke 4:1-2). Being chosen by God comes with separation and loneliness. After God had chosen Jesus, GOD BLESSED HIM! Jesus returned from the wilderness in the power of the Holy Spirit and He became known in the whole region (Luke 4:14). God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power. Jesus went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil because God was with him (Acts 10:38).
When God blesses you, you become dangerous against the kingdom of darkness. After God had blessed Jesus, GOD BROKE HIM! The breaking of Jesus was going to be so intense; that Jesus prayed ‘Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as You will’ (Matt 26:39). God will break you! God will never give you to the world until He has broken you. Jesus was broken by God on the cross. His body was broken for the healing of our diseases.
His blood was shed for the forgiveness of our sins. It was God’s will to crush Jesus on the cross (Isaiah 53:10). After God had broken Jesus, GOD GAVE HIM TO THE WORLD! Jesus is the Bread of Life (John 6:35). Jesus is the Bread that was chosen by God. Jesus is the Bread that was blessed by God. Jesus is the Bread that was broken by God. Today.
Jesus is the Bread that is given to the world by God. Whoever comes to Jesus will never hunger. Whoever believes IN Jesus will never thirst.
