Peace be with you
Luke 6 44 Each tree is recognized by its own fruit. People do not pick figs from thornbushes, or grapes from briers. 45 A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of.
My heart earnestly seeks answers to what I call the ongoing pandemic of gender-based violence. Whatever I think of I am drawn to the principles of God. The Society (Christians too) tends to shy away from such topics of gender-based violence. This results in victims having no space and no opportunity to speak out. We, the children of God are often presented with an opportunity to speak in public. This is the time where we need to use every opportunity to fight against gender-based violence.
The Bible teaches us that whatever comes out of our mouth is actually stored in our hearts. The concept “no to abuse” starts from our caring and compassionate hearts. This speaks to ensuring that our hearts’ attitude is the same as Jesus, and then we will boldly speak against children and women abuse.
Eliminating gender-based violence is our responsibility as the body of Christ. This is because of a mandate that we have to preach, teach and demonstrate God’s love. Failure to do so will be seen in the Society we live in.
Take courage today live and teach love.
The healing of our land is in our hands. Shine the light where you are, you will make the difference.
God bless you
