Genesis 3: 15 And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush[b] your head, and you will strike his heel.”
Adam and Eve were placed in the beautiful garden called Eden. They were happy and had everything they needed. They were at liberty to eat all the fruits in the garden but one. One day Eve was deceived by the serpent and she and her husband ate the fruit from the tree that God told them not to eat from. God their Creator passed on a punishment to them. Verse 15 speaks directly to the serpent that deceived a woman. God promised a serpent that Eve’s offspring will crush its head.
It appeared an ordinary night when the people were headed to Jerusalem for the purpose of census. Mary and Joseph were amongst them. But the problem started when Mary and Joseph did not find accommodation. This however did not stop the miracle that was about to happen. This was the night when the serpent’s head would be crushed.
Prophecies throughout the Old Testament were finally fulfilled, like Habakkuk 3:13. _You came out to deliver your people, to save your anointed one. You crushed the leader of the land of wickedness; you stripped him from head to foot._ The child was born and mankind was delivered that Holy Night. He was not just a child but the King. He truly is a Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, and the Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6).
Seek to know more about the purpose of that Holy Night, share with family and friends. It was not just a Holy Night but your salvation.
