Some people have good ideas on how other people’s problems can be solved, without getting themselves involved. When they see somebody in trouble they may advise him or her on how to get out of the problem, but don’t want to contribute to the solution. They have faith in how problems of poverty, unemployment, and different kinds of lack can be solved, but are not willing to be part of the solutions. Such kinds of people turn out to be useless in society, as they are just big talkers with no action.
Sitting at a distance, telling others what they should do to get out of trouble is a useless faith. God has given you faith, and understanding for a reason. You should be willing to get your hands dirty working and helping those in need. If you think certain actions can solve people’s problems, you need to get involved in implementing the solution. Otherwise, faith that does not push you to act is useless. God made you see the problems and gave you faith in the solutions for the reason that he wants to use you to implement the solution. Use your faith to solve people’s problems with them.
See what the scripture says in
James 2:14-19 ESV (14) “What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can that faith save him? (15) If a brother or sister is poorly clothed and lacking in daily food, (16) and one of you says to them, “Go in peace, be warmed and filled,” without giving them the things needed for the body, what good is that? (17) So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. (18) But someone will say, “You have faith and I have works.” Show me your faith apart from your works, and I will show you my faith by my works. (19) You believe that God is one; you do well. Even the demons believe—and shudder!”
