*Learn to trust the right people*

People who victimize others start by showing a deep interest in them. They pretend to love them and pretend to wish good things for them until they gain their trust. Once they won their trust, they attack them while their victims are not expecting.

People who become victims have a tendency not to trust those who want to save them, but to put their trust in those who will victimize them. It is difficult for a victim to know who to trust. But the Bible teaches that a tree can be known by its fruit (Matt.12:33). If you investigate the real intentions of the people who are trying to help you, you will be able to separate those with genuine interest to help you, from those who want to gain something from you. You should be careful of people who always want to gain some benefit from your problems and misfortune.

See what the scriptures say in

Gal 4:17-19 GNB (17)  “Those other people show a deep interest in you, but their intentions are not good. All they want is to separate you from me so that you will have the same interest in them as they have in you. (18)  Now, it is good to have such a deep interest if the purpose is good—this is true always, and not merely when I am with you. (19)  My dear children! Once again, just like a mother in childbirth, I feel the same kind of pain for you until Christ’s nature is formed in you.”
