Proverbs 29:17 Discipline your children, and they will give you peace; they will bring you the delights you desire.
The Bible clearly teaches and encourages parenting to involve discipline. This should be done for one purpose: To train the child to be a responsible adult, and not to abuse the child. Discipline will not only benefit the child but parents too. If parents would practice Proverbs 29:17 they would live in peace. But the true sense of life is lost due to an imbalance in life.
The parents have pressure to earn more money in order to adequately provide for their families as a result they are not around when children need them. This in turn gives birth to children with low self-esteem due to a lack of love and support from their parents. Some parents in their busy schedules do not have time to prepare nutritious meals for their family this will interfere with the development of young bodies.
Prior to disciplining children parents must teach them fundamental values and demonstrate how they expect them to live.
Prayer: Lord Jesus I desire peace and happiness, help me to do your Word.
