*Parenting (2)*

Proverbs 22: 6 Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

The Bible encourages each and everyone who has a responsibility of bringing up a child to have in mind that it is not just for now and today but for the future. The Bible says children must honor their parents so that their days will be long (Exodus 20:12). This is what parents should teach their children *RESPECT*.

It is common these days that parents lack time to be with their children, they work long hours, come home tired, and therefore spend no quality time with their children. Children are left with peers and social media to guide them. Parents often come to punish when wrong behavior is displayed meanwhile they did not have time to teach between right and wrong. This behavior grows the distance between parents and children even further.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank you for trusting me to bring up my children. Please give me the courage to identify time in my busy schedule to guide and love them, amen
