Matthew 13:30 Let both grow together until the harvest. At that time I will tell the harvesters: First, collect the weeds and tie them in bundles to be burned; then gather the wheat and bring it into my barn.’”
The farmer planted his seed in good soil but when it grew there was weed planted by the devil in the night. When his workers noticed they thought of uprooting the weed but he told them not to. The farmer knew that there is coming a day of harvest where good crops will be separated from the weed.
It must have been hard for the weed to see themselves different from the good crops as they grew closer together. I wonder if it was clear that eventually it will be thrown and burnt. I also wonder how many good crops noticed the weed around them and began to be like them. The fact remains Jesus’ bride must be holy and blameless.
Prayer: Dear God I pray that though I live with unholy people your grace will keep me holy. Help me to always remember the judgment day to come, amen
