2 Kings 20:3 Remember, LORD, how I have walked before you faithfully and with wholehearted devotion and have done what is good in your eyes.” And Hezekiah wept bitterly.
King Hezekiah became sick and the prophet Isaiah sent by God came to tell him that he would die. Hezekiah did not accept the message and rather decided to speak to God himself. He cried and God answered his prayer and gave him fifteen more years.
When you hear the phrase “Lord remember me” it is usually because something bad has happened. Samson prayed ‘remember me’ when the Philistines had taken out his eyes. (Judges 16:21) God remembered him and he died with more Philistines than he had killed.
Hannah also prayed the same prayer; she was deeply hurt and wanted a child. God answered her prayer and gave her a son. (1 Samuel 1:11) If you are going through a difficult time turn to God, He will remember you.
Prayer: Heavenly Father you did remember Hezekiah, Samson, Hannah, the thief who was crucified with Jesus, and many more people, remember me in my situation Almighty God. I am ready for a new start, in Jesus’s name, amen.
