FUNDERMENTAL PILLARS OF CHRISTIAN LIFE

Gen 29:32  And Leah conceived and bore a son, and she called his name REUBEN, for she said, “…for now my husband will LOVE me.”
Gen 29:33  She conceived again and bore a son, and said, “Because the LORD has HEARD that I am hated…” And she called his name SIMEON.
Gen 29:34  Again she conceived and bore a son, and said, “…my husband will BE ATTACHED to me…” Therefore his name was called LEVI.
Gen 29:35  And she conceived again and bore a son, and said, “This time I will PRAISE the LORD.” Therefore she called his name JUDAH.

Jacob is a father and leader of the 12 tribes of Israel. His first four children are Reuben, Simeon, Levi, and Judah. REUBEN is a picture of LOVE – hence Leah said, ‘my husband will LOVE me’. SIMEON is a picture of PRAYER – hence Leah said, ‘the LORD has HEARD [my prayer]’. LEVI is a picture of FELLOWSHIP – hence Leah said, ‘will BE ATTACHED [in fellowship, coming together]’. JUDAH is a picture of PRAISE – hence Leah said, ‘I will PRAISE the LORD [thanksgiving]’. These are the four fundamental pillars of Christian life – LOVE, PRAYER, FELLOWSHIP, AND THANKSGING.

Child of God – walk in love. Faith, hope, and love are very critical – but the greatest of this is love.
Child of God – pray without ceasing – pray for yourself and pray for others.
Child of God – do not give up the habit of meeting together with other believers.
Child of God – give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
