Jesus provided a spiritual principle in Matthew 25:29 that everybody who has things, more things will be given to him, but to a person who has nothing, even the little that remains will be taken away from him. This was in relation to the parable of talents where three people were given talents according to their abilities, and two managed to multiply them, and the other 1 person did not multiply but kept it safe. Everybody had something given, but it was up to each person on how he decides to use what was given. In that parable, before a master could expect anything from each person, he gave them something. The sad news was that one person decided not to use what was given, but kept it safe. At the end, it was taken away from him.
Everybody has something that he has received from God. This includes, our faith, our abilities, our strength, and the teachings that we have received. We need to use what we have received. Failing to use what we have received is like sin, and it’s like we are sleeping on the job. We need to wake up and repent, otherwise unfortunate circumstances may fall on us. Don’t worry about what you don’t have, just wake up and strengthen what remains. Wake up and work.
Rev 3:2-3 Says “Wake up, and strengthen what remains and is about to die, for I have not found your works complete in the sight of my God. (3) Remember, then, what you received and heard. Keep it, and repent. If you will not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what hour I will come against you.”
Wake up and work. From Simtandile Dlepuma. Stay blessed.
