Genesis 1: 26 Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and overall the creatures that move along the ground.
The study of the human body says at conception children carry the genes of both their parents either normal or abnormal. When we notice certain behaviors or physical appearance, we know who the child resembles more between the mother and the father.
God created you in His own image and His likeness. Your whole resembles God, both behaviors and physical built. I like the part that God created in you, of being able to make a choice. At a certain stage of your life, you are able to choose between either the kingdom of God or the kingdom of darkness. For either kingdom, you have to feed your soul.
It is easy to know how to feed your soul for the kingdom of darkness because you are born with a sinful nature, but that will lead to eternal death. You then have an opportunity to choose to feed your spiritual soul. Matthew 5v6 says blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness for they will be filled (NIV). When you make the habit of reading the Bible you feed yourself with God’s Word. The likeness or resemblance of God will soon be noted. Dwelling in His presence will definitely change your whole being. Today feed your soul with God’s Word, you will become the righteousness of God, you will truly resemble Him.
