Some bibles using the modern languages translated the commandment which said, “You should not commit adultery”, into “be faithful in marriage”. The essence of this commandment is that marriage is an essential element of building healthy families, which leads to healthy societies or communities. Problems normally start when someones see someone’s wife and want to possess her. David fell into this sin when he saw Uriah’s wife (2 Samuel 11:2). From what he saw, he wanted to possess the woman who was someone’s wife. He then committed a number of sins after that as he slept with the woman, and killed her husband.
To be faithful in your marriage, you need to do your best to fight against lustful desires from your heart. Do not entertain, meditate, or play around with something that has the potential to hurt your life and destroy your family. Manage what you see with your eyes and what you are meditating upon in your heart, then you can escape these sins.
The bible in Mat 5:27-28 CEV Says “You know the commandment which says, “Be faithful in marriage.” (28) But I tell you that if you look at another woman and want her, you are already unfaithful in your thoughts.”
Be faithful in marriage.
