The birth of the Lord Jesus Christ was a turning point in the lives of many. For Simeone who had been promised that he would not see death without meeting Christ, it meant his time for death had arrived (Luke 2:25-26). Particular it marks the arrival of salvation for God’s people, the arrival of the light of God to the nations of the earth, and the glory to the people of Israel. It marked a turning point in people’s lives, nations and the people of Israel. Turning point was about the shift and change on old things, and the beginning of new things.
Christmas can be an ordinary day to many people, but it can be a special day to you. It can mark a special day as you review your life and look at ways of strengthening your relationship with the Lord. Your relationship with the Lord is more important than the physical conditions and situations that you may go through. It can mark a new day as you commit to focus on positive things more than negative things. It can be a new day as you appreciate, celebrate and help others to smile through your giving. The Lord gave himself as a gift to us on this day. You have more reasons to celebrate because now God is with you (Emmanuel) as Isaiah declared (Isaiah 9:6). Merry Christmas and prosperous New Year to you and your family. *May this day mark the beginning (the turning point) of good things in your life and the life of those around you*. God bless you.
The bible in Luke 2:27-33 MKJV (27) Says “And he(Simeone) came by the Spirit into the temple. And as the parents brought in the child Jesus, to do according to the custom of the Law concerning Him, (28) even he received Him in his arms and blessed God, and said, (29) Lord, now You will let Your servant depart in peace, according to Your word. (30) For my eyes have seen Your Salvation (31) which You have prepared before the face of all the peoples, (32) a light for revelation to the nations, and the glory of Your people Israel.(33) And Joseph and His mother marveled at those things which were spoken by him.”
