1 Peter 1: 14 As obedient children, do not conform to the evil desires you had when you lived in ignorance. 15 But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; 16 for it is written: “Be holy because I am holy
Throughout the Bible, we learn about doing the will of God. Adam and Eve were given instructions on what to do and what not to do, that was God’s will. God gave the Israelites Ten Commandments that they were supposed to live by, that was His will. God sent His son Jesus Christ to teach the world His will. And He finally sent the Holy Spirit who lives within you in order to direct you in holiness.
Peter and other writers of the Bible warned that as a Christian everyone around you must witness holiness from your actions. Romans 12:2 *_Do not conform to the pattern of this world…_* 2 Cor 6:14 says _*Do not be yoked together with unbelievers.*_ This is not easy because it means you must always take the opposite route to Society. This comes with not being like to a point of persecution. The world hates you according to Jesus’ prayer in John 17:14. Remember also there is a blessing (Matthew 5:10)
Living in holiness is a decision you must make. Decide to flee from evil desires (2Tim 2:22) Decide to crucify the flesh, this means do not let the flesh live in any way it desires. Avoid yielding to sin Does the way you live to testify of your faith in God? You no longer live in ignorance make a decision to live a holy life.
God bless you
