*You are an overcomer (2)*

Ephesians 2: 4 But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, 5 made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved.

Trees develop roots that enable them to hold on to the ground when the storm arises. But lately, we hear of changes in the climate. We have seen fallen trees that in our eyes appeared deeply rooted. But the Bible speaks of certain trees that will not be affected by storms (Jeremiah 17:8), the trees planted by the river. They overcome and withstand any kind of storm.

There are two things that will make you realize if you are an overcomer or not. 1. Drought –this is the season of lack and crisis. 2. Heat – this represents life pressures. It is not possible to avoid these seasons, whether born from a wealthy or poor family. Only people deeply rooted in Christ will remain standing during these seasons.  Ephesians 2 gives us an assurance of our stand, being made alive with Christ … (v5) this is the difference between us and the people of this world. This is where our guaranteed winning is established, we are made alive with Christ. Ephesians 2 v6 says God raised us up with Christ and we are seated with Him in the heavenly realm. We do not belong here; therefore there is no earthly storm that will uproot us. Our victory is guaranteed as long as we remember that it is not by our own wisdom but the great love of God.

God bless you
